Seriously love the way you decided to show Jordan in this chapter and Jeff's 'It took me about two years to get past the age thing' line was superb.

I can't wait to see how you suprise us next chapter.

Thanks! I'm kind of excited about the next chapter. It's another OC, and was originally going to be the inspiration for a standalone fic until I came up with the concept for this series. The only problem is, I've already written the second half, but am having some difficulties with the first half. But it's coming!

I didn't have any expectations for this part, other than seeing Mr. Harding again, and I thought it was very well done. It's not surprising that he would still see Annie as the troubled teenager he helped and feel protective towards her ( ... )

Haha, take a look at like half of my review responses. I'm in no position to complain about anyone taking a while to explain their point ( ... )

I like the way how the seeming random snatches of Annie's life actually tie in together. And you're right that turn was quite unexpected, but it is a reality that the people in our lives won't necessarily all get along or approve our choices.

there are probably plenty of women in the world who think I deserve the Congressional Medal of Honor for getting Jeff Winger to put an engagement ring in food." Laughed at this.

I didn't like them then from him and I like them even less now from you. Tell him, Annie!

There will be a lot more tying together of chapters as we continue. I planned the story fairly thoroughly before I started posting (I wanted to make sure I wouldn't run out of steam halfway through), and after all, that's one of the things we all love best about our show, right?

Thanks for reading!

It's taken me forever to get to reading this but I'm all caught up now and I definitely don't regret it. I love how you're showing Annie's past and present, it just works so well. I feel so bad about how Jordan reacting but it's kind of understandable at first.

And naming the fic after Ode to Optophobia doesn't hurt, it got me to read it. Probably one of my favorite Danielle Ate the Sandwich songs.

I'm glad you got around to it, AND that the title inspired you to read. It's fantastic that you've even heard of her -- I probably never would have if we didn't have a mutual friend who got me listening, and my life would be much sadder for it.

I'm glad too, your story truly is fantastic. I can't wait to see what you do next with it. I have one of my best friends to thank for even knowing who she is, she just told me one day to listen to her and linked me on youtube and I've been hooked almost 2 years. Definitely agree, my life would be sadder without her music in it, she's amazing.
