eyesight update
I also got new glasses today. They're a light coppery color and rectangular! I believe that puts me into the category of "edgy." Not to mention that the nosepads are little circles, not regularly shaped ones. I feel spayshul. It's been many years since I've had new specs. -

Wow, I thought it was never going to happen. I got a call today from a recruiter who saw my resume on Monster and has a job in mind that would involve my HTML and photoshop skills. I'm waiting for more information via email ( Read more... ) -
so stupid... or tired?
I set up my coffee maker this morning and then cleaned up some of the mess in the kitchen. When I went to pour myself a cup, it looked really watery... I had forgotten to actually put the coffee in. D'oh. I guess I needed to have coffee before making my coffee. -

The house that Ben and I saw second last week was one that we wanted to check out again. We were getting serious. Then, on Wednesday, we met with the real estate agent to see it (and a couple other houses) again. I had too much leftover pizza for lunch. I'm really full now.
It's interesting to see how the six degrees is working among Tower Players and who they know on imdb.com. I understand a lot better now than when I was younger that "famous" is a very relative term. -
Home for the holidays?
Last week, Ben and I put up the same artificial tree we've had since our first Christmas in Cincinnati. It's been looking sadder the past couple years. Not quite Charlie Brown, but getting there. Fake trees shouldn't lose needles, is all I'm saying ( Read more... ) -
Realty success
We met a very nice man this evening who has already been helpful. When we got there, the first thing he did was pull out a map of the area and tell us pretty much everything we need to know, including where the best hiking and skiiing and 4-wheeling areas are, and (upon request, of course) where the most conservative areas are. Going on a date
Ben and I have a date with a real estate agent this evening. Our lease on this apartment (technically a condo, since it's privately owned) ends in May. We hope to have a house by then. Water rights are a big deal here in the West, very unlike the humidity-ridden Midwest where we grew up. Thus, we will probably not be able to get a house ( Read more... )
