Applications

So, a couple days ago, Nick asked about what law schools I'm applying to, and I read that comment at work and decided that, while checking my e-mail, filling out applications, and researching the schools that send me fee waivers at work was totally cool, somehow going on livejournal would just be downright irresponsible.
Go figure.

They do. Oldest law school still operating in the U.S.
Ranked 28 on U.S. News & World Report, and, incidentally, the least expensive law school of any in the top 28 (except for a few that have cheaper tuition for in-state, but I'm not from those states, so they're a little irrelevant to me).
Like I said, fee waivers don't necessarily mean anything, they might just want to boost their rejection numbers, but it'd be stupid to not apply to a school that good when there's no application fee.

I'll bet orientation goes something like this:

"Welcome class of 20-whatever. Look to your left. Look to your right. Chances are, both people on either side of you will kill his or herself before the end of the first semester."

Congrats on getting in Chapman!

Also, don't forget that Oberlin grades harder than many schools, and admission officers know that.

Thanks. Hope you're right--I feel like I just have bad luck with applications. During undergrad applications, one school lost my app and there were at least three that, based on my scores and their average scores, should have been compelled to accept me. I realize that undergraduate is more subjective than grad school, and law school specifically, but still . . . I bet I have some really stupid typo all over my apps somewhere that I missed.

But, um, hurray optimism.
