The second foil that I want to address is the foil of Torvald and Krogstad. It was pointed out that Krogstad represents someone who would be perceived as “the bad guy” or the villain. This poem was quite intriguing in my opinion. I loved how the author used just the titles of the songs to create such an impactful poem. I though it was very creative and unique. I loved this story. I really thought it was interesting how the author applied completely different storylines, but maintained the same outcome. This story was completely different from anything and everything I had ever read. It was so strange. I really found humor in the logic of he parents who found this ”angel”. If you do not know what something is, clearly, the first thing to is to go to your old neighbor because she knows EVERYTHING. Such a logical decision.it made me sad to read ( Read more... )

This short story I found to be quite intriguing. It was hard to feel sympathy for people who chose the wrong path and who should be held responsible for such horrible mistakes. I really enjoyed this piece of writing. I really like how it used the supermarket to show societal change. I think that each part really represented something deeper. I read this piece in high school as well and found it to be a very odd, yet powerful piece of writing. I think it is very strange to imagine a man who has just murdered his wife gazing into a portrait of her remembering all of the flaws that she held.
