[THEME] Street Fighter (Part 2 of 2)

Aug 16, 2012 17:08

This is part two of the Street Fighter theme! :D

Ibuki
"Forehead protector? I don't need one of those... Maybe you should stop watching anime..."
Ibuki is a female ninja (kunoichi). She lives in a village entirely composed of ninjas where she has been training since childhood. Trained from infancy to become a ninja. Although she carries out her duties, in reality she dreams of living a normal, high school girl life. She has a fascination with pop idols, but when she is tasked with a responsibility, she is always reliable. While she is a trained assassin, she also shows another side, stating that she finds her ninja clothes ugly and her daily training strange, jumping back into her civilian garb as soon as she wins a bout. She is kind, energetic, honest and a little rebellious. Ibuki has a pet tanuki named Don. Ibuki has a notable interest in boys. This can be seen in several of her win quotes in Super SFIV where she evaluates her opponents based on their looks, behavior, clothing, as well as their fighting performance.

Ingrid
"Hmm.... Not too bad. You should take that as a compliment."
Ingrid goes by the alias "Eternal Goddess" and the nickname "Eternal Ray." Little, if anything is known about Ingrid; however, the PSP version of SF Alpha 3 gives away some possibilities about her true origins. Apparently, her source of power is derived from Psycho Power, yet it is not purely evil like that of M. Bison; it is likely it is converted into something similar to Rose's Soul Power. Ingrid also claims that she is the true bearer of what is called "Psycho Power", as she constantly tells Bison that Psycho Power is "her power" and that Bison has stolen some of it. It seems that her power is so intense that if given the chance, she could actually break Ryu's madness if he ever succumbs to the evil of Satsui no Hadou. Ingrid also possesses psychic abilities similar to Rose, as she addressed Ryu and Rose by name even though both never revealed their names to her. Rose, on the other hand, cannot look into Ingrid's future as she did with other Street Fighters. Ingrid is a powerful, brave, and noble warrior who has a strong hatred for the Satsui no Hadou as well as Evil Ryu, and has a great amount of respect for people like Ryu and Rose. Despite her young look, she is also very wise, smart and calls herself the messenger from the stars. She also uses her time traveling abilities as a way to attain more knowledge of the universe.

Juli
"Maintaining basic defensive status..."
Juli, whose real name is Julia, is a brainwashed female assassin belonging to M. Bison's Elite Guard, The Dolls. All of the Dolls were teenage girls of around 16 years old who were captured by Shadaloo and brainwashed to be M. Bison's assassins and bodyguards. They were completely loyal to Bison and acted and talked like robots. They were high ranking members in Shadaloo, only lower than Bison and the other Grand Masters: Balrog, Vega and Sagat. One of them, Juli, was originally a girl named Julia from T. Hawk's tribe. After her kidnapping, Hawk vowed to find her. Eventually, one of the Dolls broke free from Bison's mind control (apparently with help from Dhalsim) and Juli was assigned to track her down and eliminate her. Cammy resisted and defeated both Juli and Juni (another Doll), eventually breaking their mind control. When Bison appeared, they collectively attacked him. An anime trailer for Super Street Fighter IV reveals that the Dolls are still alive, but are being strapped in stretchers and placed in capsules. In T. Hawk's ending, Rose tells Hawk that Juli is now a shell of her former self, but that she will tell Hawk where Julia is if he insists. Following Rose's directions, Hawk finds Juli in a near-catatonic state in a cabin in the wilderness, being cared for by an elderly couple. As Hawk draws near, Julia shows no sign of recognition and continues to stare into space.

Juni
"Target's fighting spirit down... Calculating BP, SP and DNN."
Juni is a brainwashed female assassin belonging to Bison's Elite Guard or "The Dolls." Her name is German for June, and her partner is Juli. Juni is assigned to track down Ryu in SF Alpha 3. In the UDON comics, Juni was kidnapped directly from Germany. Supposedly, her brainwashing is the most complete of all the Dolls and her first mission, ordered by Bison to test her loyalty, was to murder her own family - a mission she accomplished flawlessly. Originally, the Dolls could not live if Bison had died, as the brainwashing corrupted them so much they would have collapsed and died. Eventually, Cammy broke free from Bison's mind control (apparently with help from Dhalsim) and managed to do the same for the others. When Bison appeared, they collectively attacked him. Juni makes an appearance in Cammy's Super SFIV storyline, having been hospitalized after an encounter with Juri, and was being looked over by Cammy. When she wakes up (due to Cammy's pet cat jumping onto her), she is greeted by Cammy. It is presumed that Juni has amnesia as well, as Cammy comments that if she retained any memories, it would be her memory of Cammy.

Juri Han
"There's no meaning in fighting! The only reason to fight is to enjoy yourself, right?"
Juri is a warrior who fights for the thrill of the battle like Ryu, though the reasoning behind her drive is more vengeful, and likes inflicting pain on her foes and will only destroy them if she has to. She has some femme fatale elements, as she makes provocative and suggestive remarks toward her enemies, and also betrays those she was working with for her own plans. She possesses a strong, sensual figure, but is cunning and a somewhat sadistic, fighter with a urge to cause destruction to her most hated enemies. Juri is a calculating woman, callous to her foes at times, and treats her allies as pawns if needed. Her personality, particularly against men at times, can be compared to a female spider. Despite her personality, she will give her opponents a chance to flee or leave, and only fights when she has to, meaning that she has a small sense of honor; during her rampage (which took place during the events of Super SFIV), she left a young boy alive, showing some mercy. Juri is described very accurately by Seth as "an untamed animal who seeks to destroy and consume all that enters her sight...She has altered her own body in her insatiable quest for power. She respects no law. No morality. She does whatever it takes to achieve her goals and quench her limitless thirst."

Karin Kanzuki
"If you expected me to lose out of generosity, I'm truly sorry!"
Karin is from the super wealthy Kanzuki family (daughter of Daikenjuro and Nadeshiko Kanzuki), whose motto is "All you need is victory" (also interpreted as "Be the winner in everything") and, alternately, "The worst we'll ever be is the best". Karin considers herself a rival of Sakura, who defeated Karin when challenged. Due to the fact that she is from a wealthy family, Karin is quite snooty and thinks other people are her "commoners", or inferiors. Because of the fact that she is from a wealthy family, Karin has a habit of acting snobby and dismissive and thinks lower-class people are "commoners"; as such, she hates the ideals of said social class. She lives by her motto more than the rest of her family, as she takes majority control of her father's company from under his nose in a hostile takeover (ironic since he was the one to drive that philosophy into her). Her family's estate covers 200 acres of land, and not only has its own geographical features, but its own climate. She uses the martial art style Kanzuki-ryū kakutōjutsu, a style that she created herself apparently, instead of Sakura's imitation of Ryu's martial art. Karin's personality is basically that of the typical rich, overindulged, snobby girl. Before every fight, she laughs haughtily as if she considers her opponent inferior to her.

Maki Genryusai
"C'mon! Try again! ...I'm still going to dodge it all!"
Maki is the daughter of Genryusai and Rena's younger sister. She is a member of the Bushin-clan along with Guy. She also was a delinquent and the leader of a biker gang in the past. Maki is best described as a hot-blooded girl who loves to get into street fights, staying true to her past as a delinquent. She also acts very cocky and confident towards her opponents, as shown with her taunting them after winning. She dislikes the fact that Guy became the 39th master of Bushin-ryu; thinking she deserved it more than him and wanting to take the title herself. Like Guy, she is reliant on two important things: speed and mobility. Maki loves street fighting and vehemently dislikes being treated like a damsel in distress.

Makoto
"I know I'm still young, but fighters in training really have the desire to win!"
Makoto is a young Japanese tomboy, raised in the rural Tosa region of Japan and trained in Rindoukan karate. She is a hot-headed, rough and tumble karate girl. Although having little fashion sense for a girl her age, she still hates when she is mistaken for a boy. She develops something of a rivalry with the kunoichi Ibuki. Makoto appears to be tomboyish and brash, and is very competitive, always looking forward to new challenges; she often accuses her opponents of sandbagging if the fight feels too easy. She also respects her grandfather. She loves the heat of battles and most of all: she fights to revive the honor of her father´s dojo. Makoto fears no one and challenges who or whatever her opponent is. While Makoto is still young and inexperienced, many fighters are impressed by her skill and power, and urge her to continue her training.

M. Bison
"All you women ever do is whine! I killed my father too, and you don't see me crying about it!"
M. Bison is the main antagonist of the SFII and SF Alpha games. He sometimes refers to himself by the full title of Master Bison. M. Bison is an archetypical villain character motivated by his own self-seeking interests and lust of power. He is a ruthless, callous and an unforgiving dictator with no hesitations for destroying anyone or anything who opposes him. While demanding absolute loyalty and obedience from his subordinates, Bison considers them as mere pawns rather than human beings, and tolerates his henchmen only as long as they serve his dark ambitions. He decided to exterminate Cammy and The Dolls for becoming useless to his further plans in SF Alpha 3, and attempts to eliminate Seth for usurping him in SFIV. He is not above trying to use coercion by force and brainwashing to convert skilled martial artists to his cause. Bison shows no compassion or mercy at all towards his hapless victims, considering them insignificant and pitiful wretches not worth living. As the founder and leader of Shadaloo, he is prepared to gain power and wealth using all possible criminal activities, ranging from drug trafficking and arms dealing to terrorism and illegal human experimentation. In addition, M. Bison is also supremely arrogant and narcissistic, with a vast ego that rivals or may even surpass that of Vega's, and a penchant for fancying himself a god. He has nothing but contempt for his opponents and considering himself the truly superior fighter for mastering the Psycho Power. Bison's ultimate goal is to rule the world forever and be recognized as the most powerful martial artist of all time. Intending to accomplish that objective, Bison has cheated death and returned to wreck havoc not once, but at least twice. Unlike other seemingly villainous boss fighters of the series, Bison is quite interested in tormenting, exploiting and ultimately oppressing other people to achieve absolute power for his own personal urges. Unsurprisingly, he has earned the eternal enmity of many other SF characters for his malevolent and sinister nature. Having banished all goodness in his heart to control Psycho Power, he possesses a dark and irredeemable spirit. He does display a twisted sense of humor which, not to mentioning his characteristic "business before pleasure" attitude, makes him quite a unique and effective villain in the series. Bison also has little regard for the suffering and damages he has caused.

Necro
"Out of my way!"
Necro, or Illia, is the third youngest of his four brothers, and left his small village in Moscow to seek independence and riches since the fall of the Soviet Union. While searching, Gill and his organization confronted him and promised him a better life. They persuaded Necro to join, but he was tricked and experimented on. He was given the ability to stretch his limbs and produce electricity from his body, at the cost of leaving him looking like a mutant. A cybernetic computer was implanted into his brain that enhanced his fighting abilities as well. Necro is plucky, optimistic, and ever determined when it comes to his goals, but he can be surly, competitive, wise cracking, and smart mouthed in return. Despite being on the run from the Illuminati and always pressured when they do turn up, Necro still dreams big and has his eyes always on the faintest of hope in the middle of a bleak situation; even transformed into the superpowered mutant he is today, he nonetheless enjoys his newfound powers and abilities that comes with it, and in turn with those powers, he hopes to raise hell and give the Illuminati a run for their money. While he does hope to attain freedom and liberation from the Illuminati's sights and intrigues along with his girlfriend Effie, Necro aspires to be an opera singer, along with his many other dreams of what to do when he strikes it big, such as to have a drive thru hamburger lunch in his Benz while wearing a Rolex and casual contemporary cosmopolitan clothes.

Oro
"Would you like to meet my pets? Or are you too injured?"
Oro is an ancient, mysterious hermit who seeks a fighter that is worthy to inherit his fighting style. He is of Japanese descent and hails from the Amazon Jungle, where he lives in a cave with his many pets, including a turtle and a dog. Oro made his living as a martial arts instructor in Japan in his younger days. He moved to Brazil with a friend in the early 1900s. Unfortunately, his life in Brazil wasn't going very well and he eventually became a recluse. He spent much of his time practicing Senjutsu. Finally, after several dozens of years, Oro had mastered it. Oro occasionally leaves his cave and visits town. Out of boredom, he embarked on a journey (traveling the world atop a jumbo jet) to seek out the ideal successor to his Senjutsu style. This was the first time he left Brazil since he moved there. Oro likes to go to sleep and like Akuma, he loves to fight strong opponents and train himself to strengthen his techniques. He also dislikes weaklings and hates being bored.

Poison
"I'm not just hotter than you, I also just kicked your ass!"
Poison is the friend and manager of Hugo. Before her career as a manager kicked off, she was well known as one of the more recognizable members of the group called Mad Gear. She is constantly at odds with her partner Hugo, although the two seem to get along just fine regardless. Poison is an orphan from Los Angeles. Poison's actual gender is a topic of major debate and controversy in the video game community...although, SFIV's producer Yoshinori Ono has stated in an interview that "Let's set the record straight: In North America, Poison is officially a post-op transsexual. But in Japan, she simply tucks her business away to look female." Poison views herself as female and doesn't seem to take kindly to anyone stating otherwise. Poison's behavior is represented as womanly and sultry, ranging from flirtatious comments to pole dancing. She enjoys fighting and uses it as a means to stay in shape.

Q
"......... (Done.)"
Not much is known about Q, except that he appears at different places around the world, and may be linked to various disasters. The CIA is searching for him, believing him to be behind these disasters. No one knows his real name, if he's human or not, or even if he's a man. A notable characteristic in regards to this is that when Q is shocked in-game, instead of showing the skull and skeleton of the character, he shows his muscular system and an indistinct head. All of his victory phrases that are actual words are in parenthesis, which may mean that he is not actually saying, but thinking them. Q's alignment is also unknown. Q has been sighted in crime scene photographs of unsolved murders all over the world. His appearance in them may make him the murderer, or perhaps he could be investigating it, as hinted by his stereotypical detective attire. It is unknown who any of the murder victims are, or whether any of them were good or bad people, further adding mystery to Q's purpose. An official image of Q does exist, however, showing Q's hat and trenchcoat being taken by a man, while a woman at least attempts to interview him, hinting that Q may not kill in cold blood, if he kills at all. Q also shows both acts of self-restraint and cruelty in-game. When he defeats his opponent, he will either simply look over them (and, if you look closely, shed a tear) and walk away, or he will start crushing their face underneath his shoe. He can choose to spare or further hurt any of the other characters, whether they be good or evil.

Remy
"Victory, glory, and honor... Those ideals don't excite me a bit."
Remy bears a grudge against all fighters since his father abandoned his family to pursue the path of the warrior, and his sister died, whom he encased in a block of ice underwater in the Bay of Biscay to preserve her. In his ending, he mentions that he must "forget everything" to be happy, for it was the darkness of being a warrior that caused his father to disappear and abandon Remy and his sister. He allows his sister's corpse to sink further to the very bottom of the sea, showing that he has put his dark past behind him and has moved on. Remy seems calm and composed, but is in acutality a cruel and nihilistic warrior full of wrath and hostility. Though he sees fighting as futile, as it "victimizes people, destroys love, and creates hatred", he himself continues to fight as he is unable to forgive people like his father. Despite claiming to "hate everything that he sees", he does still care for his dead sister, whom he has preserved. His hatred may be the point of madness, as Alex thinks he is insane and should get a psychiatrist in their rival battle. He does have an inquisitive, self-doubting side, as he often ponders why his opponents fight, or why he himself continues to fight despite the fact that he abhors fighting. In his ending however, Remy realizes that while he cannot forgive his father yet, he must let go of his hatred and moves on with his life.

Rainbow Mika
"I'm learning more and more! The experience is exciting!"
Rainbow Mika, often shortened to R. Mika, is a professional wrestler trained by the big, domineering, shinai-sporting, golf cart-riding, Yoko Harmegeddon. Her true name is Mika Nanakawa. Mika is a tomboyish girl who prides herself on going all out and wowing the crowds with her wrestling moves. She can be a little rough around the edges, but definitely has potential for the pro circuit. She idolizes Zangief and considers his way of fighting as the ideal route for herself. Mika's attire is meant to be flamboyant as to stand out from the more experienced wrestling pools and circles. Being a Japanese blonde has its way of hiding her devotion and sincerity to her sport, as does her mask, and she possibly aims for making her arm joints less constricted due to the exposed portions of her uniform around her elbows and shoulders. R. Mika's goal is to be "Star of the Ring." To try to accomplish this, Mika decided she would travel abroad and battle famous street fighters even before she made her official debut.

Rolento F. Schugerg
"To challenge me is to challenge my army."
A former high-ranking officer in the Mad Gear gang, Rolento was an expert in hand-to-hand combat, explosives, small arms and of course, bojutsu. Now he focuses on creating an "ideal nation" where everyone is a soldier day in and out. Rolento can be considered "Lawful Neutral" because of his strict belief in order and discipline. For this reason, though he envisions a utopia, his methods can be questionable, but he does have noble leanings such as his SF Alpha 3 ending where he destroys the Psycho Drive because he feels that his utopia is not possible if people do not have their own freedom to choose. Furthermore, he believes peace can be created through his utopia and military-style structure.

Rose
"Power is nothing without skill."
Rose is a mysterious fortune teller. She's a traveler who explores the world for a different purpose that remains unfathomable to most in the cast. She doesn't fully remember her own origin or her life before becoming a fortune teller. Rose lived amongst a band of gyspies called the Roma and prefers to be solitary, however she tends to be an encouraging and guiding force to other characters in the cast (such as Ryu). Rose is a serene, intelligent and independent lady who muses quite a lot on destiny. She states that power is nothing without skill and that she must continue on her path, even if it means to give up her life for the greater good.

Rufus
"You've fought the rest, now try the best!"
Rufus is a loudmouthed master of Kung-Fu, hailing from the U.S. Believing himself to be the strongest in America, he develops a personal hatred for Ken, who carries that title officially. Often seen riding his motorcycle with his girlfriend, Candy, who seems to adore him and agree with his beliefs. He is very hasty and impatient, constantly jumping to conclusions to reach a goal, which often results in him sacrificing accuracy for speed. Rufus is prone to loud-mouthed rambling, often spouting off at the mouth continuously until someone cuts him off. Said rambling usually about trivial things he notices about the characters, doting over Candy, giving random anecdotes, or mistaking several members of the cast for Ken Masters (including Cammy, Guile and Ryu). He's also prone to saying whatever random thoughts come to his mind, regardless of how rude they are. Most of the other fighters object to his constant talking whenever they defeat him, with some people getting annoyed of how much he speaks. Despite his goofy appearance and personality, he is a highly skilled master of Kung-Fu, which even surprises several of the other characters. Rufus also attributes his skills and fighting prowess to 'Mojo' and 'Charisma', two things he believes are required of a good fighter and that he claims to have ample of. His intelligence is questionable because of his odd conclusions that he is quick to jump to; additionally, Rufus has a terrible sense of direction, but always somehow reaches his destinations. He does have good instincts and insights, making him akin to a boastful but well-meaning fellow: many of his compliments in his win quotes are based off of qualities he believes he has that he sees others have too, such as Zangief (the closest thing to a friend he has). However, at his core, Rufus is an obnoxious and impatient man who just wants to show America he is the best.

Sagat
"A strong fighter is not one who always wins, but one who stands after defeat."
Sagat encompasses a stereotypical "proud fighter" personality, since he is very powerful and strong-willed as well as hard-working and dedicated in body and spirit to martial arts life. His uncommon physical appearance makes him menacing, hideous and downright unfriendly at first glance. This persona is greatly boosted by the elevated levels of rage and power unleashed during combats - even to the extent of being nearly lethal, should Sagat see himself pinned or threatened with defeat. Since the incident at the first World Warrior Tournament, Sagat feeds on both his hatred towards Ryu and seeking a new chance to challenge and defeat him to recover his title of greatest fighter of all and thus restore his lost "honor". Despite this violent and sometimes cruel nature in battles, Sagat appreciates worthy opponents and greatly despises taking unfair or dishonest advantages in combat - Sagat values true martial spirit and strength of character above all when facing those he considers worthy adversaries. As the former God of Muay Thai, Sagat is quite proud and confident in his abilities, taking his status as a renowned martial arts champion very seriously. Unlike his student, Adon, Sagat actually learns from his own mistakes and improves for the better, as shown when his pride has led to surges of extreme hatred or deep depression; examples include his infamous defeat to Ryu - which originated the scar across his chest - and his fight with a hatred-stricken Dan Hibiki, who had challenged him to avenge his father's death - which caused Sagat to realize in himself the same sadness and emptiness as Dan for his father. After fights, Sagat tends to mock or ironize the "inferiority" of the defeated opponent. Deep down in his heart and soul, Sagat lives only for fighting and making himself even stronger everyday, and despite enjoying a lot fights in tournaments, he turns most of his attentions towards Ryu, whom he considers "the only man able to defeat him and worthy to be faced in a live-or-die battle."

Sakura Kasugano
"If it's a battle of fighting spirit, I definitely won't lose!"
Sakura is a Japanese schoolgirl who has an intense fascination with Ryu. She has managed to copy and learn some of Ryu's techniques, but really wants him to train her personally. In all aspects, Sakura has a very outgoing personality, as she is most of the time happy, energetic, cheerful, positive, hard-working and focused. She has a strong spirit and a very determined attitude in life, either in studies or in martial trainings. She sees Ryu as an idol, rather than an opponent, since she always watched him fight and mirrors herself on his lifestyle and philosophies. Although her techniques may seem somewhat "rustic" in comparison to Ryu's, she manages to balance her schoolgirl life with her daily trainings in order to be accepted as Ryu's pupil and prove herself by fighting worthy adversaries. Now that she's an adult, her cheerful personality from her teenage years still remains but has matured and bloomed into a more patient and disciplined fighter. She is the embodiment of innocence of the SF universe and is acknowledged by many characters to have great potential that will match Ryu and Ken when she gets older.

Sean Matsuda
"Tell me who just rocked your world with skill!"
Sean Matsuda was a boy from a perfectly normal Brazilian family. He was passionate about sports and played basketball in university. Growing up under the watchful eye of his Japanese descended grandfather, the old man made sure Sean would matured into a polite and kind young man. Watching a local martial arts tournament, Sean was so impressed with Ken's fighting style that he decided to ask the kind Ken Masters to train him. From then on, he began studying under Ken and he trained to understand the ways of a street fighter. Sean has copied elements of Ken's fighting style out of admiration, but always adds his own twists to them. Although his techniques and ki can't reach as high as Ken's, he uses them as the basis for his own original moves that take advantage of his naturally flexible body. Despite his natural talent in the ring, Sean has a long way to go before he's mastered the fighting arts. His goal is to develop his own original signature moves some day. Despite his positive attitude and light-hearted jokes about victory and defeat, deep down Sean hates to lose fights that are not fair.

Seth
"This body is merely a vessel. Should it become frail, I simply find a replacement."
Seth is the main antagonist of SFIV. He is the head of Shadaloo's weapon division, S.I.N. Seth is one of many genetically engineered replacement bodies for M. Bison. Unlike most villains, Seth is generally very calm and concise, as he only displays the least bit of arrogance, often through his annoying-by-design tendency to laugh and gloat when using his more powerful moves. However, he is just as intelligent as his creator, with ruthlessness and evil to match. Seth will not tell his workers all of his plans, in case they plan to betray him - something he refuses to tolerate.

Sodom
"Don't thank me. In fact, don't touch my mustache."
A Caucasian male born in the United States, Sodom is obsessed with Japanese culture and considers himself Japanese. He is well-versed in many elements of Japanese culture, though his usage of the language is somewhat dubious. On the front of his outfit, Sodom has scrawled the Japanese kanji "shi", meaning death. However, this kanji is not written properly, and actually has no meaning. His failed attempt at Japanese calligraphy emblazoned across his chest is meant to be humorous. Sodom is a comic relief type character. He's obsessed with becoming Japanese and joined the Mad Gear to gain social acceptance in their whole freedom through chaos ideal. He's so obsessed with the Mad Gear ideals that he actually pursues them long after the gang is decimated for the second time.

Thunder Hawk
"I breathe in harmony with all of creation."
T. Hawk, or Thunder Hawk, is a Mexican Native American. When he was an infant, he and the members of his tribe were being forced off their land by Shadaloo. Some of the Thunderfoot members resisted and fought against them, and many were killed, including their leader, Arroyo Hawk (T. Hawk's father), who M. Bison murdered. Now living in Mexico near the Monte Albán plains, T. Hawk wants nothing more than revenge from Bison for his despicable actions and to reclaim the land that was taken from his people. The Thunderfoot tribe had also experienced disappearances of many of their people, T. Hawk took the responsibility of finding them. One of them, was his beloved Julia. T. Hawk is commonly brave, tough, selfless, noble-spirited, centered and fearless, but equally grumpy, cold, brutish, unemotional and apparently unsympathetic. His lack of emotional display mostly comes from the suffering and devastation inflicted towards his people and sacred homelands - such hatred grew even more powerful in SFA3, when he discovers that his childhood friend and lover Julia was actually the brainwashed Doll Juli, a top-ranking Shadaloo assassin. Despite his externally hard demeanor, T. Hawk is actually a warm-hearted, compassionate man - as evidenced in several of his artworks, where he shows unquenchable affection for native animals - who sights revenge solely on the purpose of rescuing his long-lost people and restoring his ruined homelands back to its former glory.

Twelve
"01011.01111 [KO]"
Twelve is a bizarre SF character. Part of the G-Project, a biological warfare operation run by a mysterious organization under the control of Gill, Twelve is a genetically-engineered mutant. Twelve is the ultimate result of Gill's "G-Project," headed by Dr. Kure and overseen by Gill's brother, Urien, whom Twelve considers to be his father. A mimetic genetic creation, Twelve is able to assume the forms of other people and change the shape of any part of his body to fit the task at hand. He is also extremely resistant to damage and slavishly obedient, making him the perfect soldier. Once Twelve was declared a success, mass production began, and the original was sent on a special mission: locate and retrieve Necro, the original G-Project prototype, and Effie, Necro's companion and the one who freed him from the laboratory. In the game, when Necro encounters Twelve, Twelve is accompanied by several more of his "brothers" before he decides to fight Necro himself. In his ending, Twelve is hinted to have gained sentience over his programmed obedience.

Urien
"How can you refuse to bow to a superior being?"
Urien's personality can be best described as tyrannical, much in contrast with the benevolant nature of his brother Gill. Urien displays sadism in many of his victory quotes and animations. In addition, he takes a lot of pride in becoming the "True Emperor"; as such, he has no reason to lose to anyone and his anger will only subside when he is proven to be the True Emperor. Unlike Gill, who recognizes the talent in his opponents, Urien looks down on others, even calling them 'pitiful scum' in one of his victory animations. While fighting, he screams phrases such as 'Crush', 'Destroy' and 'Kill', again highlighting his nature. His mental instability may be reflected in gameplay by being a charge character; while Gill can execute the moves of their composite training program flawlessly, Urien needs to focus intensely for a second or two before he can do the same. His grasp of the more advanced techniques of the training program is fairly limited, reflected by his simpler Super Arts compared to the much more advanced ones of his brother. Urien also dismisses the cryogenically preserved brains of his predecessors as 'ugly and stupid' and 'a mass of junk with no ability to take positive action".

Vega
"Handsome fighters never lose battles!"
Vega's fighting style is a blend of Ninjutsu and bullfighting, thus earning him the nickname "Spanish Ninja." Vega has a character that is very familiar in Japanese anime, the Narcissist, often depicted as a long-haired, effeminate self-lover. He is arrogant and convinced of his own abilities and invulnerability almost to the point of megalomania, though this is perhaps justified as he is shown to be a highly skilled fighter. He can be incredibly sadistic - sometimes nearly to the point of being a psychopathic, bloodthirsty monster - and takes great pleasure in seeing the ugly murdered through his own doing. Vega's unbridled and solipsistic ego is shown even in his taste in interior decor, as his mansion is decorated with portraits all of him. Despite his vain personality, Vega's mannerisms will at times show to be elegant and gentlemanly, likely because of his noble background. Additionally, he is also attracted to and impressed by the beauty and strength of young women, notably Chun-li. Yet, he also harbors a tragic side. The family trauma he experienced molded his fragile mind to percieve physical unattractivness as not only replusive, but also as a threat. With his beloved mother murdered at the hands of an ugly man, ugliness came to represent evil and cowardice, while beauty represented heroism and strength. The incident warped his mind, and he developed a dual personality: honorable nobleman by day, sadistic murderer by night. It was this incident that triggered Vega's obession with beauty as a wonderful trait, as well as his belief that ugliness is something evil that should be purged.

Yang Lee
"Let's get this started!"
The Lee Brothers were the only relatives to their long-lost uncle Lee who fought in the first World Tournament (his wherabouts after that was unknown but he did request Gen to train them). While having been separated from their parents at birth, they are the honored twins of a certain neighborhood of Hong Kong, and are the beneficiaries of eight noteworthy and influential leaders of Hong Kong's underworld who support them as their godparents. While growing up, they were raised by their herbalist and acupuncturist grandfather, who also taught them the arts of Chinese Kung Fu. While they own a family restaurant, they are also active in their communities, helping maintain the peace and settling disputes. In Super SFIV, with his twin brother Yun, Yang followed Chun-Li on her mission to take down S.I.N., with the pair thinking that anything Chun-Li considers worth fighting must be an interesting challenge. He also uses this opportunity to test his skills against other fighters besides Yun and his uncles. After the adventure, Yun and Yang get into trouble because they wandered off without telling any of their uncles. As they get dealt their punishment, Yang runs into Chun-Li. Yang thanks her, stating he would not have fought such strong opponents had it not been for her influence. The siblings bid her farewell and hope to see her again someday. Yang, along with Yun, entered the third World Warrior tournament to show their skills. They later found and fought Gill, who appreciated their effort and granted them leadership of their town. They passionately turned down his offer, since they only fought him to stop his maniacal plans. Yang is the younger brother of the twins, and he is much more reserved and level-headed in comparison to his hotheaded twin...though he is just as confident in his skills. Yang is the quiet, taciturn one out of the two and he prefers in-line skating.

Yun Lee
"Oh man, I love a good fight!"
Yun, the older twin, is the much cockier of the Lee Brothers compared to Yang, as well as more energetic and extroverted. Like Yang, he is also a movie enthusiant; when Yun encounters Fei Long in Super SFIV, Yun asks in his win quote whether he is "The Real Fei Long" and then proclaims that he's going to tell Yang about meeting him. In the Super SFIV plot, Yun decides that whatever enemy is bringing Chun-Li out of retirement must be incredibly strong, and decides to follow her for an adventure. Yang happily accompanies him, knowing they are dealing with S.I.N., a division group of Shadaloo. With his twin brother Yang, he entered the third World Warrior tournament to show his skills...both twins also participated to fight Gill's organization, the Illuminati, who threatened to invade their home town (of which they had become leaders of at a young age). Yun loves food and has a care-free nature. Between the two brothers, Yun is the more confident, outgoing one...and he enjoys skateboarding.

Zangief
"You are persistent! But I only need to catch you once, and it's game over!"
Zangief is an incredibly patriotic character who has been motivated in some way to fight for his country in every game he's in. Zangief's personality has varied from one media source to another, but he's mostly been portrayed as a very fearless and tactiful fighter who's prone to quick temperments, and is always very competitive. Zangief is a man who is immensely proud of his physique, and constantly belittles his opponent's smaller musclular build and blaming their losses on their smaller physique. Despite his short temper, Zangief has shown himself to be rather gentle-natured with a good sense of humor, once entering a tournament partly to win the admiration of a group of school children. Zangief is described as being "good natured, with a great sense of humor, and totally fearless." Zangief can be easily misled by his overwhelming sense of patriotism for his home country. While not fighting, Zangief enjoys cossack dancing, vodka, and borscht. Some of the things which he doesn't like includes young women (because he views them as a distraction), bears that don't know how to wrestle properly, Tiger Shots, Hadoukens, and Yoga Fires.
