I am an insomniac.

I simply cannot sleep. Everyone else in the house seems to be able to. What else is there to do at such an hour except... well... write? I'm working on another poem. Les Avantages de l'étude. Maybe I can submit it to a poetry contest... but I'm still debating that idea. I could read some Rousseau right now, but I don't feel up for that.

Poverty can be a consequence of idleness, but idleness is by no means a prerequisite of poverty. What of those born into desolation? Are they held accountable to the law for living in the only way that would ensure their survival?

That would certainly be helpful, thank you very much.

Yes, most definitely. If my message came across that way, well, I must not be thinking clearly. T_T

Idleness can be a factor, but there are other things involved -- the status of the economy, location, time of year (extreme winters are the worst cases), etc.

I thought you'd like Lacenaire. His is a very interesting case for a topic like this. One could ask a lot of questions, starting with the elementary and progressing toward the profound.

By the way, I am very intrigued by your views of the inner selfishness of the human race. We ought to discuss this more sometime -- maybe at a coffee shop on the weekend or after classes? It'll be great. A shame that I don't have any classes with you, though...

That sounds great, actually. Let's see if we run into each other at all. Worst comes to worst, we will see how our luck runs next semester.

I am publishing a poetry magazine called Vermillion Nights. I would be delighted to have you submit a poem for it. Publication is June 30th, but I'd like to have it as soon as possible. Ta, and welcome to Eupheme.

Je parle français si vous voudriez converser en cette langue autrefois. Elle m'aiderait à améliorer mon accent. Et Chaucer le parle aussi.
