The winter break is coming up soon, and my mother wants Eugène and me to go with her to France for the purpose of visiting Abel, maternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. I don't know what's wrong with me, or what's been wrong with me for the past two weeks or so. I completely failed my math test, barely passed my history test, and frequently lose concentration in the rest of my classes. Last period, I signed my death warrant. I am currently locked in a prison, waiting for the jury to read their verdict: am I a dead man, or am I free?
Basically saying, did I flunk that math test, or did I (barely) pass it?

I am an insomniac.
I simply cannot sleep. Everyone else in the house seems to be able to. What else is there to do at such an hour except... well... write? I'm working on another poem. Les Avantages de l'étude.
