The Facebook and Twitter ticky boxes are frozen.

Yes, they're still there, but you can't click on them.

I'm sorry, but this entire process has now become hilarious. LJ goes "ooh shiny," users go "WTF DNW MAKE IT GO AWAY," and then LJ makes the shiny just sit there and be useless.False alarm. I think they just made the "do not want to have to ( Read more... )

The email news update pretty much says "We're working to change it so you won't all go crying to Dreamwidth." Not in so many words, but kinda.

DW is tempting due to some awesome features, but these occasional spontaneous bursts of major annoyance dissolving into hilarity are really entertaining.

Most of us would not want to publish our LiveJournal usernames or FO comments to Facebook or Twitter either (to the extent we even use them).

For me it let me enable it for Twitter? o_O Like... I didn't test it, but it wasn't greyed out for me when I looked.

*checks something* Ohhhhh, wait. When I activate Twitter for my LJ, the button becomes available.

But I was able to click on them earlier without connecting the accounts? Maybe they're addressing the "do not want to have to push tab twice" complaints first. -_-

That is SO weird. See, someone else on my flist mentioned this same thing, about the boxes being greyed out? But - for me it's been greyed out from the start, with the exception of when I went in deliberately to temporarily enable Twitter. So apparently some people have been seeing something different from what I have. :P

Well, I do know that they do code pushes, so every once in a while everyone gets a change in code at different times? *not technically inclined enough to fully understand how that works*

When is there going to be an option to hide this shit? -___- And why would I ever want to transfer a *comment* to Facebook or Twitter? Maybe a proper journal entry, but a comment? The fuck, LJ?
