I changed this around since I've written it and it got shorter.

MY VIEWS ON PRO-LIFE OPINIONSWell to start this off, today, in Global History my teacher was speaking about governments and how they can make you do things that may be the total opposite of your personal beliefs. We brought up abortion and one girl said she thought it was wrong because she believed that everyone should be born. I didn't mind ( Read more... )

so does this mean you are for birth control? i mean because you say protect yourself and sometimes the condom does break. i understand i should be able to take the consiquences of that but it's not always my fault. i mean, i'm doing the best i can to be safe without the pill.

okay, my next question: do you think abortion is better of being legal rather than illegal?

Im pro life. I myself would never think to abort a baby if i ever got pregnant, because it goes against my person morals. I think that if some girl, is going around and having sex with numerous men, not using protection, and gets herself pregnant, i think its wrong for her to have an abortion. As far as rape goes, ive known women who have been raped and have kept the child, but i would understand why someone would want to get an abortion. I personally think its wrong, but that is my opinion, and i cant control what other women choose to do with their lives. As far as abortion being illegal, it wouldnt solve anything, it would just be more dangerous for the women have the illegal abortion in some grimey ass alley way, and would probably result in them dieing, and i think women dying because they couldnt take the responiblity of having a child isnt right. Making abortion illegal would make it that much worse for women.

I agree with everything you said, and I also have something to say about stupid girls who don't know what they're talking about:
In one of my classes, the topic of abortion came up, and this super religious girl stopped the teacher and told her she was an idiot and that what everyone was saying was wrong, so I got mad that she was saying no one else's opinion mattered. So then I gave her this sceneario- a 15 year old girl gets raped by someone in her family, and winds up pregnant, and not only that, but it's one of those pregnancies outside of the actual uhh..uterus dealy. If the girl weren't to get an abortion she would die, and there is no chance for the baby whatsoever. Well, hgjfsdklomgidiotgirl says, "No matter what it's always the girls fault and she should die, because obviously god meant for this to happen to her. If she had been a member of the church it would never have happened". Um. Yeah. I like stupid people.

i agree completely with your argument. i respect everyones opinions, what may be for some may not be for others. it's ultimately the woman's choice, and making it illegal would do nothing but cause more controversy. if you aren't ready for a baby in your life, then do what YOU feel is right, not what everone else feels. bringing up a baby in poor conditions doesn't help either. someone may come back with the argument of adoption, but how do you really know that the family you are giving the baby to is recieving proper care? if you are for birth control, or any other things like that, you are basically preventing a life too. i can't think of anything else to say because i'm pretty tired.
