I'll never forget that night, my parents appalled at those long-haired people.

To some degree, they helped shape us, didn't they? I never knew that my mother loved the Beatles until she called me and grieved the night of John's murder. I'll never forget it -- almost 25 years ago.

And I'll always miss Ed Sullivan and Ted Mack and just about everything else that aired on TV those days.
