I won't write off Beckham as washed up just yet. If you happened to catch his performance in the last legs of R. Madrid's season, you couldn't argue that Beckham isn't in damn good form, even for his age. Truth is, I'm actually really excited to see Beckham come to MLS and see what he can do for soccer in America.
MLS isn't TOO painful to watch... you have to admit it's getting A LOT better than it used to be.
... All that aside, Chelsea are my favorite club and Galaxy will be crushed with or without Beckham.
I like how you treat collective nouns like a Briton when speaking about Chelsea who are, I must say, a fine choice for a club favorite. I'm still lamenting Gudjohnson's departure, though; he really looked much better in Chelsea blue--but if he had to go somewhere, I supposed my beloved Catalans may as well be the culprits. :)
