ok, so everytime listen to this song (no cars go by the arcade fire) i get teary eyed. its so fucking good. for a long time now i've been wanting to make a mix cd of songs that are so good they make me cry. some i can think of right now include

I'm with you on the Arcade Fire, but it's a different song by them that makes me cry. It's "Tunnels". I lose it everytime.

Ok, lately "Wide Open Spaces" by the Dixie Chicks has been making me cry. What?? Also, "Hallelujah," the Jeff Buckley version, and I second Hava on Ani's "You Had Time."

Hmmmm there are a few Van Morrison songs -- mostly on Irish Heartbeat. Dvorak's New World Symphony does it pretty well too (but that's mostly by association).
