I'm with you on the Arcade Fire, but it's a different song by them that makes me cry. It's "Tunnels". I lose it everytime.

"Suicide Medecine" by Rocky Votolato. "Broom People" by the Mountain Goats. "Fox in the Snow" by Belle and Sebastian. "Small Figures in a Vast Expanse" by Rilo Kiley. "Scenic World" by Beirut. "San Francisco" by Alkaline trio. I'll think of more later.

"Two Headed Boy part 1 and 2" by Neutral Milk Hotel, "Pain in My Heart" and "Keep Your Arms Around Me" by Otis Redding. "Tom Traubert's Blues" by Tom Waits. "You had Time" by Ani Difranco, "Heaven is Ten Zillion Light Years Away" by Stevie Wonder, "Wild is the Wind" and "You've Got to Learn" by Nina Simone. "Gone" by Ben Folds, "Life on Mars" by David Bowie.

Wow, I went nuts there. Hope you enjoy these/make you cry.

Ok, lately "Wide Open Spaces" by the Dixie Chicks has been making me cry. What?? Also, "Hallelujah," the Jeff Buckley version, and I second Hava on Ani's "You Had Time."

Hmmmm there are a few Van Morrison songs -- mostly on Irish Heartbeat. Dvorak's New World Symphony does it pretty well too (but that's mostly by association).

Making soup tonight and missing you!

I almost cried listening to Coldplay's "The Scientist." The song is not even relate-able to my current state, but it's pretty.
