HUGE COMPUTER EMERGENCY

I am an idiot. Today, I decided to set a password for my XP user account. I typed it in twice (that whole, make sure you didn't have a typo thing), and it accepted it. I did a few more things, then shut down my computer. About ten minutes ago I started it again (I set the password early in the afternoon) and of course the first screen is asking ( Read more... )

1. Try plugging in another keyboard in case your current one has randomly decided to go on the fritz.

2. Depending on your settings you might still be able to access the files from the guest account. You might already know this and might have already tried, but if not, go here: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Desktop and see if you can see it.

James also suggests starting it in Safe Mode which will bypass some things and might let you get to the files.

Lastly, just take it to the computer guys at your school and they'll fix it for sure. They just might charge you a few bucks or something.

I actually got it to work at like 2am last night. I only slept for 2 hours the night before so I was actually seeing things by the time I went to bed! I was very confused.
