Okay - entirely coincidentally, Netflix sent me the first disc of the first season yesterday. I just watched the pilot, and despite the mediocre acting, I am ENTIRELY freaked.

Is the whole show as dark and sleep-preventing as the pilot? If so - I may have to postpone the rest of my Supernatural watching for a couple of months when I have enough free time to watch them on sunny saturday afternoons...

Nope. The Pilot is one of the scariest of the season. The show is dark, but it really is a family drama with horror components. I was just saying on this week's Supernatural Podcast episode that tomorrow's episode looks scary. It's been awhile since there was a scary episode. It will be the first this season. BTW- the acting gets better, especially Jensen Ackles.

Okay, that's good to know. I have enough stress in my life right now - don't need to be scared of the dark, too.
