Lunar Eclipse
We are going to try to get up at 2:30 am tomorrow morning to watch the eclipse. Hmmm, we'll try to get up anyhow.

ETA: I got up and watched the eclipse for awhile. In LA we were lucky- no marine layer overnight and even though it does not get all that dark here, it was still very visible. It was beautiful! -
I happened upon an unlikely event...
K and I went to four very good movie screenings this week. 1408 (excellent!), You Kill Me, Black Sheep and A Mighty Heart. However, as everyone was seating at A Mighty Heart, a man had a seizure, stroke, heart attack or something. I was near the middle of the huge theatre, and he was on the far right, so I could not really see what happened. LA ( Read more... ) -

Podcasting is fun!
K and I are delving into podcasting. In other words, we are starting a podcast called the World of Fantasy. It will be all about fantasy books, movies, TV, pop culture, and more. Olympics
I have been watching a lot of the olympics, but I have to ice dancing is definitely my favorite... the outfits are so funny! It makes the actual skill of the performers hard to concentrate on... especially the "powderpuff" dress on the Israeli woman. Happy Day
Yeah, the Oscar noms were announced today. I saw A LOT of movies in 2005, but I have not seen a couple of the nominated films. I am really happy to see the love for Brokeback, and also for Crash, which was a movie I personally promoted all year. It will be interesting to see who wins. Walk the Line
Saw Walk the Line tonight, and it was wonderful!!!! I am not a Johnny Cash fan, but I found myself completely mesmerized. The performance scenes were the best I have ever seen in a movie. I could not help but smile throughout, and it was truly heartbreaking and real. I am a big fan of Joachim Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, and they did not ( Read more... )
