1. When did you last stay in a hotel, and where?
October last year for a week, in Akaroa, a cute little seaside town that was settled by the French and still has a French flavour and a thriving artist community.

29. How many closets does your house have?
That depends on what a closet is! Googling tells me that it's a tall cupboard or wardrobe. Here the ones for clothes are wardrobes, and the others with shelves are cupboards whether or not they have cups in them. I assume that means university? A college is a type of high school here and my school days were definitely not anywhere near being high points of my life. 21. What is the last thing you cooked?
Breakfast this morning, a joint-effort fry-up: fried eggs, tomatoes, hash browns, toast - lockdown Sunday comfort food. The last thing I baked was wholemeal sunflower bread yesterday.

Once again I'm a bit late, due to all the lockdown kerfuffle - extended for another few days, and Greg's work next week cancelled. The roads are quiet and empty, and the supermarkets don't even have queues, unlike last time. People seem to be behaving very well, at least here in town.

Level 4 lockdown
Oh joy. We're going into three days of level 4 (highest) lockdown at midnight - and a whole 7 days for Auckland and Coromandel where someone with the Delta variant has been. I'm not sure how far 'family' goes. I suppose just cousins' children in other parts of the country.
