One of the spiritual leaders I have great respect for is Baba Ram Dass
Being conscious is cutting through your own melodrama and being right here. Exist in no mind, be empty, here now, and trust that as a situation arises, out of you will come what is necessary to deal with that situation including the use of your intellect when appropriate. Your intellect need not be constantly held on to to keep reassuring you that you know where you’re at, out of fear of loss of control. Ultimately, when you stop identifying so much with your physical body and with your psychological entity, that anxiety starts to disintegrate. And your start to define yourself as in flow with the universe; and whatever comes along ~ death, life joy, sadness ~ is grist for the mill of awakening, Not this versus that but whatever.
I get hassled all the time because I'm not truly "here" in this world.
I exist with one foot in the physical here-and-now and one foot in what-is-to-come.
I also do a lot of existing within the flow of energy, enjoying myself, not overthinking the way ahead and trying to influence or prepare for what may come. People tell me I have 'horseshoes up my ass' because strangely enough things seem to work out without any evidence of assistance from me.......
Horseshoes? *laughs*..just another way of saying you are a lucky person when in fact you 'allow' the flow and trust your Higher Self ..t'aint strange at all..

"Among them, the ones with the most ilusory dreams were the race of the dancers. They tried to jump upwards pretending to be angels. When in fact, only jumping downwards could they be nearer God."
Brings to mind the thought that humans were taught to look to the sky for God... for the more powerful being. When actually in earlier times, the thought was to look below? It is simple as the belief of where the dead should go.... are they in the ground below, or up in the sky above? My guess is inner earth.
"He has to find it through the mirror of relationship, through the understanding of the contents of his own mind"
Those words are like heaven, I use the mirror refrence often.
And I understand the misunderstood being, sent here to protect the garden of paradise. And also I understand that there will be a great reward, and I believe that.
