It's not really true that I'll be laboring since my workplace is closed, but having a holiday weekend 3 days after school starts kind of kills the momentum (poor me after 3 months of summer break).

I agree, though; I don't understand the plan behind going back right before a holiday weekend. My coworker's son goes back to elementary school on Friday! What is the point?
