My black eye is finally fading enough so I don't look absolutely ridiculous thank goodness. I hate tending bar and getting odd glances. I work again tonight, late ( Read more... )

Oh honey, you didn't look ridiculous at all. You looked like the ruggedly handsome hero of a wartorn nation beset by a despotic tyrant. Besides, eye injuries are the new sexy. Just look at Anakin Skywalker and Riley Finn!

I would love to see your choreography sometime. I'm working on a project of my own, as well. I love the idea of setting ballet to heavy metal. I want to show the soft side of the metal personality, while at the same time bringing savagery to ballet. What do you think? It's kind of like Wolverine and Jean Grey!

Well I wasn't attracted to Riley Finn or Anakin Skywalker myself though I do see your point!

I'll show you mine if you show me yours! I think metal ballet is a wonderful idea. Mine is very much more modern as well. I love the classical ballets, but there's something about them that separates them from the people. I think everyone should be exposed to both.

And who could say no to Wolverine and Jean Grey?!

I would love to show you mine! I understand completely what you mean about exposing the people to both kinds of ballet. Most lay people are stuck on this idea of ballet being completely unaccessible, something that only high-class intellectuals who drink brandy from decanters by the fireplace every evening whilst listening to Mozart and discussing War and Peace can appreciate. (Actually, that doesn't sound like such a bad way to spend an evening, but you see my point, I'm sure). To put that more succinctly, I would love to see your modern ballet :)

I certainly wouldn't say no to Wolvie and Jean! Did you see them in X-Men 3? That got me all kinds of hot and bothered!

Exactly. I want everyone to appreciate ballet, and the misconceptions annoy me to no end. I've been choreographing to a few Bond songs and a couple of other things. I'm pretty excited about it. I want to present it at RAD when I'm done! I would love some constructive critisism so be brutal!

And I see X-Men 3. I though Dark Phoenix was awesome and the Jean/Wolverine scenes are great! I wasn't so pleased about Professor X's fate, however. You cannot do that to Picard and get away with it.
