Well, I didn't get the job. I'm kind of relieved, in a way. I almost wasn't sure I could handle it. So anyway, I applied to another school today. I'm just going to keep applying until I find something. In the meantime, I might have to do something like get a job at the mall

But deep down I can't look at her without thinking about her quasi-infamous quote about the Alaskan oil pipeline: "I think God's will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gasline built."
And maybe I'm not seeing all sides here, but I personally can't read that line as anything other than a scared, frantic woman who's being fed substantial amounts of money (in this case by oil lobbyists etc) and wants to believe so strongly that what she's doing isn't wrong that she abdicates responsibility entirely, calling it the "will of God."
And I think that's a terrifying proposition.
(especially 'cause McCain has the life-expectancy of a mayfly. Electing that man is asking for that woman to run the country.)
