Utena, Shitsurakuen is not
Got nostalgic and started rewatching Utena on a whim. Forgot how much I love this series.
Decided while I was watching it that I should give Shitsurakuen, it's spiritual successor that blatantly draws its imagery and much of its story from Utena, another shot. Initially, six or seven chapters in, it disgusted me and now...
( tl;dr: Shitsurakuen makes me feel conflicted. ) -
Whatta summer, summer, bummer
Urgh, I've been trying to finish a book a day and it's really exhausting. Then again, these are all books I should be/ought to be reading. I really ought to like Conrad, but I've been struggling to pay attention to it for the last few hours. bleeergh. Writing
Spent most of today at Great Lakes, clothes shopping. Since we've gotten home, been drafting/playing around with my latest short story idea.
