It's not that I don't like Russia. Honestly, it's not.

But I really, really, really want to go home.

On the bright side, Valentines Day was good. Except for the abusive phone messages. Coach, seriously, it WASN'T ME.

Get-well wishes should be directed towards bradrichards who has surgery on Wednesday to fix the *shudder* tear in his *shudder shudder* abdominal wall. Here's hoping he can pry himself up off the couch at least for short periods of time and that he gets better soon, because I miss him.

I've been away from home for Christmas before. I've stayed in Tampa a few years, I was at Notre Dame for awhile, but I've never been ALONE. I was either with my family or with Brad, and now I don't have either of them.

This is the worst Christmas ever.

This has been the best fucking year of my entire life. I'm almost afraid to wake up tomorrow, because I can't imagine anything as amazing as the past six months have been. It's just been...perfect. That's the only word for it. It's been perfect.

Ok, so after the game there's a message on my cell phone and it's from my sister, and so I wasn't expecting much, because...well she's my sister, and she calls about some crazy things. But! But!

She was watching CBC and OMG STEVE YZERMAN CALLED ME VINNY AND SAID I WAS A TREMENDOUS GUY.
