Ok so I was shopping at Trader Joes and a jar of pears reminded me of one of my greatest discoveries in France:

Poire Belle Hèlène

This is an ice cream dessert that consists of:
pears (canned or jarred)
chocolate syrup
vanilla ice cream
chantilly whipped cream

So simple but so decadent...the pears really do make all the difference.

Ok so i am pretty sure there is just one little mouse, and at the moment it is contained within the garage which is actually my closet and storage area. A year ago yesterday I had just arrived home after 22 hours of flying from Paris, to Amsterdam, to Memphis, to LA. A year ago today I moved into this house.
