i like the colors of fall...

went to beacon, ny and surrounding areas this weekend.
the trees were amazing.

visited the storm king sculpture park, dia beacon, the vanderbilt mansion, and numerous wineries!
good times!
(yes, that is VIOLET SHURAKA climbing on some slippery rocks, IN NATURE! insane, i know!)

Wow, these pictures made me nostalgic for my own incongruous few months IN NATURE last fall (slightly north but basically the same area, New Paltz/Gardiner/Mohonk).

we went to New Paltz too.
i had the best dinner i have had in a long time there, at a fancy restaurant on the main st...

is there a school in New Paltz?
seemed pretty college-y!

it is a pretty place but lots of mountain traffic jams!
