Thank you so much! We're glad you are enjoying it. We'll try to be quicker next time!!
FYI a raku kiln is almost like a giant super hot outside gas barbecue. You put your pots inside, slide the hood/dome closed and let them bake. When they are super super red hotand liquidy looking, you grab them wth tongs and tranfer them into a pit full of newspaper or something else like that and you cover them with a lid or something to keep the smoke and fire inside. that creates a coppery, smoky look and often crackles the glaze and gives it interesting oxidization. very cool.
Here is an example of what something looks like when it comes from a raku kiln. This glaze is called autumn leaves:
Oh, yeah. So worth the wait! Go you, Elijah! Making Orlando laugh and smile and be at ease, notching up that confidence one giggle at a time. I'm even more in love with the both of them now.
That was so clever, using that link to show the picture you were thinking of! I've wished these things were illustrated so that the pictures people are thinking of when they describe something can be seen so many times, and you did it! Fabulous.
I love the art. Love. I miss messing around with clay and paints, and though I never got into photography it was always something I wanted to try, so the scenese in the studios really make me happy.
Aw, my heart is breaking for Orlando and I'm glad he's found a friend (and maybe more!) in Elijah. I loved the pic you've included of Orlando, that was a nice touch. :-)
Orli and Lij are getting to know each other better.
Orli laughed again, and marveled at the sound. He tried to think of the last time he'd laughed so much, and started frowning when his mind had to travel farther and farther back. A long time, then.
That part made me think that Cillian really is giving him a hard time. Poor Orli...

Btw, what is a raku kiln?
Elijah wouldn't be interested in him like that, and regardless, he loved Cillian.
