Yes. That thing we as Americans are practically forbidden from talking about. By our jobs, by our parents, by society. "It's rude!" everybody says. Work tells us its a breach of ethics. They just don't want people to be able to say "this person does the same job as I do, and I would like the same compensation." I don't mean between sexes, ( Read more... )

By selling recordings of yourself reading stories, you very well could be setting yourself up for copyright infringement litigation, assuming you didn't get permission from the publishing house and/or the author first.

But that does sound like a fine idea. No idea how you'd market it, though, short of selling them on a card table on the street.

^^Agreed. But you have full access to my studio if you need.

And the secret shopper thing...I've heard it's a scam. Many of them you have to pay to get into a registry, then you maybe get a job every blue moon, and you only make a few bucks off it, like five or ten. There might be a better one out there, though.
