Then tag the same amount of people as minutes it takes you to write the facts. (alright... time to move fast)
If you're tagged, it's your turn.

Saudi Arabia! I would have never known. Hmm and you have been feeling lonely. That's no good. If it's a matter of not doing things with people, which it might not be at all, Sam and I would both enjoy doing things with you. Also, it's nice that your livejournal has a whole theme!

/18) I'd rather live in Middle Earth [than here/now/real earth]./

I find myself wishing, similarly, to have lived in the Age of the Explorers or the Renaissance or the Victorian Age. "Here/now/real earth" is too garish/insensitive/easy. Admittedly, I am grateful for running water, refrigeration, vaccinations and other securities we've been granted in this age, but there's no romance left in living today.

It's so ironic that as we strive for technological improvements, we're diminishing the mortality which makes us human -- without that threat of imminent non-existence, what impetus is there for us to seize every moment? With luck, chances are you and I will live well into our 70s, which is as good as an infinite number of tomorrows. Life's transience isn't real anymore. We don't feel a sense of loss for each day that passes -- for each hour or minute or second, bringing us closer to the inevitable; I wonder how much more intensely we would live, if we might die tomorrow.
