[ twenty dollars each or all four for twenty dollars? either way, that strikes me as being a bargain! dvds are so expensive here, the new release ones costing upwards of thirty dollars (australian) each ... i still lust, however ;)
$20 for all four, though they're vhs. gotta love the local well-stocked hollywood video. dvds aren't as cheap (yet); the used ones range from $9.99-$15.99, with the brandnew ones costing significantly more. ack, nonetheless i should not be spending what little extra cash i have so blithely, but i'm addicted.
&thankyou. many of the titles i scout out are due to your recommendations/reviews. :)
Car washs are like going through birth all over again. When i was a kid I was fascinated with car washs, particularly the tentacle-flaps slapping at the car. The film 'The Sweet Hereafter' has a great carwash scene, right at the start of the film. Like your being birthed into the film.
hmm, i never thought of that - what a fascinating concept, really. i'll think of that the new time i go through. :) i only experienced going through a carwash once as a kid; i definitely feel deprived.
i haven't watched that film in a long long time; i'm going to have to rent it again.
"The sweet hereafter' was the very first dvd I bought when i got my player. I love that movie, though I must admit it plays right into my death fascination and may not be entirely healthy for me.
