Update Japan: What is it like there? (March 17th 2011)
Yesterday, I got a disaster map in the mail. It told me where to go, in case of natural disaster. The first place it suggested was the park in front of my apartment building and the next place was an elementary school down the street from work, It also showed what parts of town would be flooded in cases of Tsunami. I'm ok.
The earthquake hit the east coast of Japan pretty hard, but my trip to Sendai day after tomorrow has been canceled. I'm on the inland sea in good ol' J-land. Matsuyama gets earthquakes and can probably expect an aftershock or two, but as of now, we are simply enjoying cold and cloudy weather and gray skies. 32th Anniversary.
