I bought a new guitar amp yesterday - a Line 6 Spider III 75W. A coworker of mine who has played bass and guitar for many years helped me pick it out. I'm really liking it, since it has a ton of built in effects and sounds. My Team Fortress 2 level is coming along pretty well. I toyed around with a few concepts at first, but eventually settled on a two base capture the flag match, similar to 2fort, but with more going on outside between the bases. My new computer is now complete. Today, the last components arrived in the mail - the video card and a copy of Vista. When I first built the computer, I just used the onboard video and was planning on running XP and Linux as a dual boot, but XP wouldn't install, so I just kept Linux. Here we are in the lead up to the holiday season - my favorite time of the year. This is the time I get to spend close to $200 a month on video games. I bought Rock Band 2 with a guitar last night, along with pre-ordered in full Fallout 3 Collectors Edition - that set me back a grand total of $226.
