156 - Being an adult and other things

Jun 04, 2013 19:57

Today, on my lovely day off, I had to be an adult. I hate days when I have to pretend I'm adult, they generally suck and involve stress. But it wasn't all bad. I called all my student loan lenders and started preparing for my income-based repayment plans. I found out I'll most likely be accepted so yay, low payments! I also made an eye-doctor ( Read more... )

I hear ya! The adult stuff is no fun, but life refuses to let us stay kids! :-(

Ugh, I know...though at least you were successful in acting like an adult! Sometimes I plan to and then just continue to put things off...

I still have no idea how I'll ever survive a freeway without a meltdown

Yeah I got my driver's license years ago (right before I went off the college and promptly never practiced), and while I finally can drive to a few places, I still cannot deal with highways...O_o So much traffic and too fast. Driving is scary as hell. Good luck! I need to really practice more and become comfortable driving on highways and anywhere, I fear I am limiting my career options rn.

It's so easy to put things off too. There's just so much I want to do, and being an adult is not one of them.

Urgh, I hate highways. I hate driving fast. I hate other cars driving fast around me. I'm getting better day by day but I did my first lane change the other day and nearly had a panic attack. Yeah, my career options are limited because of lack of driving too, which is the main reason why I'm doing this. Good luck with getting more comfortable!

It took me a long time to deal with the freeway, too. My parents begged me to drive on the freeway and I was just like "nope. we're getting up an hour and a half early so I can take all back roads."

Back roads are the candy of driving, seriously.

Yay for low loan payments!

Congrats on driving! I personally got my licence just to say that I have it, but I never (plan to) use it. Yay for being in an area with good mass transit.

Ah, lucky! I hope to move somewhere someday with good mass transit. But it's a good skill to have just in case.
