Breath taking...... the pictures of the park make it look like it's not even in the U.S....

I think that part of Central Park was designed with the gardens of England in mind so that could definitely contribute to that feeling :).

Your mother must live near us. I can't believe I have lived in this neighborhood for 4 years and have never seen this place before. I will definitely be going back in the Spring (and fall and winter ;) ).

That's a beautiful area of the park-such an oasis in the urban jungle. Must remind to visit that when I return to NY(although I did do the Central Park thing).I can see why so many people would long to get married there...particularly life-long New York residents.

I've lived in the same area in Northside Chicago going on 3 years now.Every so often I get the urge to explore;to take a different route. The last time I did this I discovered there is a Buddhist temple about 2 blocks or less from my home.I'm almost pleasantly surprised by the immaculate visuals of side-street dwellings. As much as I'd hate to admit it,I'm sure there are a few things about my city that will stay with me long after I've moved to Portland.

It's always fun to explore parts of the area where you live especially in cities since there is always something guaranteed to be new and interesting.

Gorgeous! I'm still kicking myself that I didn't get to check out CP last year when I was in NYC.

Oh! Next time you go to NYC, you should definitely check out the park. There is so much in it, a zoo, the gardens above, a castle, a lake that you can take a rowboat on (for rental) etc.. :D
