Our/my generation, anyone from 25 to 40. We are partisans of the New Edge - willing to explore new places, transcend old boundaries, and think bigger than anyone else. are you saying that the "X-gen" has morphed? Or are you talking about the generation behind them?

When I was growing up, I never would have believed that electronics would be as prevalent as they are.

I'm still old fashioned in a lot of ways compared to my classmates. I do not take notes on my laptop or other device.. I use inkpen and paper. I don't own a Blackberry, I own a paper and cardboard day planner. I still get most of my bills in paper form and write a check and mail it in to pay it. I don't use ATM's for money, I drive to the bank and talk to a real person.

A lot of people consider me quaint and old-fashioned. I guess I am comparatively.

I think that the lines between 'X-gen' and 'next gen' have blurred. It seems that those around the age of thirty to forty now are the worst abusers of technology because they feel it's owed to them because they grew up in an age of Atari.

Take away a 13 year old's Ipod or an 8 year old's ability to watch a DVD from the back seat of their mini van and they'd be at a loss. Ask one of them what a Dewey decimal system is and they'd just stare at you most likely.

I guess what I'm saying in my rant is, that just because we Can we never stopped to think if we should.
