i finished the monarch show. it weaves around the monsterverse films (godzilla, kong) and really fleshes out the history and story so well i've gone back and started watching the 4 movies they've made up to this point again. i haven't seen them in years. kong:skull island in particular, seeing it again, i loved it.

carmilla
i finally read carmilla, after all these years. i originally intended to read it after dracula in high school, but i got distracted.
it's definitely a good compliment to dracula, though, and since it actually inspired bram stoker's novel, that's not surprising.

thinking
man, the older i get, the more i like being alone. when i stop talking to someone, they're usually toxic people anyways, and it feels like i just threw out some things that were just taking up space. and it feels great. that feeling of your life being less cluttered. less problems ( Read more... ) -

i went for a walk, stopped for a fountain soda, filled it to the top, and put the cap on only to realized the slightest puncture with my straw will send soda gushing everywhere if it's not directly put in the center. i was seriously hovering with the straw in my hand and everyone staring at me like
