I'm totally cribbing this off of ursamajr but I don't care. Nor do I care that my list is rather teensy compared to hers. They don't do good music in upstate New York, at least not for '90s teenagers with no transportation.

is it weird for me to enjoy only using one arm? I can't remember the last time I thought everyday life was this interesting. it's like living in an OM competition. build a support structure using five pillows? okay. wash your one good arm without assistance? easy. got out of the hospital yesterday; I'm up at my mom's, which was not as painful a drive as I expected. (actually, none of this has been as painful as I expected. I think my pain threshold is more of a pain plateau. badass ( Read more... ) -
oops.
so I came back from Bangkok, and that was fine. I went to Denver (did a 5K, Thanksgivinged, planned for Terminus), and that was fine. I got back late, when straight to a work party, and promptly broke my right upper arm... while arm wrestling a coworker. I am awesome.

I'm about to get on my flight to Bangkok, but really I don't want to leave HK. my time here has been really lovely. I expected it to be one big Times Square, all ADD and overstimulating. I did not die en route to Hong Kong, nor have I died in my first 36 hours here. Hong Kong is a very nice place, and I wish I was seeing more of it than what's outside the office window (which is Victoria Peak, which is a little insane). I am in the fancypants lounge at JFK surrounded by people whose shoes are much more expensive than mine. there is free booze and snackysnacks. my flight leaves in less than an hour. I think all the panic mighta been worth it.
