so I came back from Bangkok, and that was fine. I went to Denver (did a 5K, Thanksgivinged, planned for Terminus), and that was fine. I got back late, when straight to a work party, and promptly broke my right upper arm... while arm wrestling a coworker. I am awesome.

Meep. Hope your arm heals cleanly!

Whoa whoa! That seems contrary to the rule of physics somehow. :P I hope they gave you plenty painkillers to keep you in la la land.

And I don't have anything silly to relate (unless you count this creepy Russian man suddenly steeping out from behind the tree and spouting off on dogs and copulation; it's more of "you have to be there" type of comedy ;)). But I can tell you that your Franz photos look lovely in the new book. I caved and bought a copy since the free one's not here yet. We also got specially thanked on the credits page, side by side. :D

there were definitely painkillers. some were less fun than others. I react weirdly to drugs. :-\

yay Franz book! did you find it locally or was it an online buy? my resolve would probs be buckling if I'd been home to anticipate it every day instead of once every few weeks. (what a weird couple months!)

I hope that Tylenol has some Codeine in it. That agreed with me much better than the Vicodin.

Got it on Amazon.co.uk because I couldn't take the wait. And you've been globe-hopping, giving me travel-envy, nothing too weird about that! Will we be hearing about details once you're recovered?

ps: I admire your one-handed typing skills!

nope, just regular strength Tylenol taken like the bottle says. *is hardcore* Vicodin is fine for me, but I only take it a half-tablet at a time so I don't start slurring. :))

mmmm amazon. I might as well order it too -- I'll want one to keep pretty and one to show to everyone I've ever met.

travel stuff, eventually! I've barely made a dent in my pictures and I'm a little dubious about my leftie photoshop skillz. and my patience with typing. maybe I'll reacquaint myself with phone posting.

OMG! You poor thing! I hope you have an easy recovery with this - and the scar turns out as cool as you hope!

thanks! one of the surgeons (the cute one ;) says it'll be a long scar on the back of my arm, but all discreet 'cause it's healing well. lame!

Something I read in high school, I want to say The Old Man and the Sea, described in detail an arm wrestling match that lasted for a full day and overnight, with two men just facing each other down, gridlocked, and squeezing so hard that blood came out from under their fingernails.
So at least it's better than that.
