I had an awesome 3 days at the red river gorge in kentucky camping and climbing. The trip was spent with Mike, Rhonda, Porsha, Dave, and Smidgens(a dog). There was a climbing video premier of red river ruckus, tons of people, crowded camping, good food, stellar climbing, and friends laughing together. Just doesn't get any better then that.

Porsha is a great name -- and stellar is such a great word. :)
I met a girl once, with wiccan parents, mind you, and her name was Portia Morgaine Victoria Jane Snowden.... I thought that was an amazing name.
I have a thing for names.
And I think I'm going to pick up the use of 'stellar'.. ;)

Wow that looks like it was a fun time!
I wish I was in shape... that way I could do cool stuff like that. I have no endurance whatsoever. Because I've never worked out a day in my life, ever. Not that I'm fat or anything, I just have NO MUSCLE, and NO DEFINITION. ::sighs:: But I'd like to get in shape.

Porsha's parents got her name from shakespear i think. Yeah i was trying to think of a word to describe the climbing, and stellar hit it. Also the night sky's were amazing! so many stars so clear.

I wasn't in shape at all before i started climbing 1.5 years ago. I used to be even 210lbs in high school (progressing towards vegan diet changed that and climbing changed it even more). Climbing has now given me a well developed upper back and arms.

I'm guessing you probably dont have the funds to start climbing 3 days a week. But I'd suggest yoga instead, take a few classes, maybe get a DVD, a yoga mat, a couple yoga books (I recomend Light On Yoga) and you're set for life with a free way to get your body and mind into shape. I'm trying to do more yoga myself.

I can climb the rock wall for free at Galyan's or whatever the name of that store is. I have one of those fancy cards that only we elite have, lol. ;) I've only ever tried it once... and HOLY CRAP I thought my arms were going to explode afterwards! It was so cool though, I really did enjoy it. And that store is all the way in Lansing, so it'd be a 40-minute drive (at least, depending on that damn I-94 construction traffic, lol) just to rock climb for a few minutes... but it does give my arms quite the workout. It was so intense.

And my boyfriend actually bought me a Yoga/Pilates DVD a while ago. I used it a couple times. I want to start doing it again - it was so relazing, and I felt really good afterwards. But I have this crazy thing where I won't work out if he's around, and that's usually never.
But he's gone right now... maybe I'll do that. :)
