I hate telephones. And emails/AIM don't do much to assuage loneliness. I definitely prefer having something to do with someone. Unfortunately, this doesn't help you. I would tell you to invite some hobos in off the street to play a game, but they'd probably kill you and eat your food, so don't do that.

If you email me, I'll try to be good and email you back in a reasonable time frame. :) Have you scoured livejournal for friends? I tried to make friends on this thing in Berkeley before I got here and I think I did a pretty good job. I met some lame people, but I also met my awesome housemate and a few other grad student types.

I had attempted to do that. The search function would seem to be the best method. [shakes fist] Unfortunately, it is only accessible to those with paid accounts. And the only people who seem to use the WashU community are undergrads. Any suggestions of how/where to look?
