Terry and I were flipping channels last night, and we came across Yentl. There was a character that both of us recognized, but from different places. And it is still difficult to wrap the mind around the fact that they are the same person inspite of the fact that I now recall similar mannerisms in both characters.

Aah! He doesn't look the same at all! Stop, you're ruining my perfect visions of the Princess Bride, like when I discovered that Billy Crystal and Caroline Keene weren't really old. Which I should have known, but hadn't put together in my head. Aah!

I knew Mandy Patinkin from musical theatre before I saw The Princess Bride, but I didn't recognize him at all. I still don't recognize him when I watch Princess Bride. I like that, though - he's not an actor; he's Inigo Montoya. Period.

What'd you think of Yentl? I've heard a bit about it, but I've never seen it.

What little I saw seemed pretty good. Terry refused to watch it - I think he was (understandably) embarassed by the whole "marriage" situation. That and it was already half over when I started watching it, so I turned it off after only a few minutes. I was proud that I knew the title though. :)

Tell Terry I found the 'Kung Fu Fighting' music video I made his freshman year. Bill, Mike B., and Tony are all in there, too. Blast from the past!

Elliott has a video capture card, so I'm going to go over there with a VCR sometime soon and transfer it from VHS to digital video.
