and yo, i totally know how you feel about smoking. i "quit" when i went on birth control because it's supposed to be really bad, but i feel like...sometimes you just need a goddamn cigarette. and that's ok.

examine what is mentally or physically making you want one and address that problem before masking the symptoms with nicotine and other chemicals!
dating is cool, though potentially problematic. I am glad you are having some sort of fun, however! awkward dates do make for great stories later.

1) i'd be interested to hear what "social issues" you think are associated with cigarettes
2) with regards to what is making you want a cigarette, in my case, its generally a lot of stress. now while i could go exercise (as i'm sure that's what you'd suggest), generally i'm stressed during times when i don't have the time to go to the gym (and furthermore this is me. i hate exercise. the thought of it just adds to my stress) and a cigarette is like...three minutes of quick stress relief. exactly what am i supposed to substitute for it?

I have some trepidation about adding another Funcie-ite, though you may not add me back anyways, so guess I'm not worried.
BTW, I made my mad face and said something social-justice-y at some people the other day b/c they told me your school sends kids away if they don't pass entry psych tests of some kind. Not a fan of such gatekeeping.
