Never fails, I look at this journal on a whim (like a work avoiding whim) and feel a twinge on sentimental joy/sadness. A breather. A breather with George Bush's everyone-still-like-me-even-though-the-US-economy-is-flailing $600 in my pocket. I'm doing my part and spending. So I've been buying music and reading.

So my papers are done. One was a research proposal that will hopefully turn into a thesis. I feel totally ambivalent about both. It's a strange sensation - I have not the faintest how either will be perceived, but hopefully the proposal will not be considered utter rubbish ( Read more... )

I just woke up to my ceiling fan shaking, and the my whole apartment shaking - walls and all. I jumped out of bed and threw some pants on - it would have to be something crazy going on to make my walls shake - and went to my sliding door thinking are we having 100 mile per hour winds or something?
