NaNoWriMo 2011!!!!!!

So, friendly LiveJournal folks, NaNo 2011 looms a mere 10 days away.

Who here is planning on participating?
Given that I didn't do it last year and the world seems to be in need of more literary vomit, I thought it might be the perfect opportunity to fix this shortcoming.

I've signed up for it, but... Not sure there will actually be time in my Life for NaNo, so we will see if anything will come of it.

I have a story, involving a gay prince, that is demanding to be written. NaNoWriMo seems a good time to write it. It also involves a right royal mess.

I'm intrigued at the thought of writing something but I'm araid I'm a careful
and disciplined writer, and the rush to get something down fast would result
in a lot of purple prose which would end up being embarrasing to me.

You don't have to show it to anyone! That, and the idea is that at that volume, a lot of your writing is absolutely crap, but there are moments of absolute brilliance. Also, once you start writing at that volume, it is difficult to stop when the month ends, so it's a fantastic way to kick start yourself into a more regular and consistent writing regime.

I think you should definitely do it. How do I convince you?
