...know, I was speaking to a friend of mine named Dave. He had an away message up that said he was embarassed about a comment he made on an LJ. So I talked to him to find out who it was, and I didn't know the person. So I asked him, "Why don't you make one of your own? A livejournal that is." His reply was, "I don't need to make one. Happiness can be blind just as much as sadness can be.

Being happy doesn't mean you don't need a place to write about your happiness or other cool things that may happen to you.
The notion that everything and everyone on LiveJournal is sad or negative is a foolish notion indeed.
Negativity has its place in the world, because the world is based on it. Our collective goal is to rise above that and transcend the Nature of this world. However, think about this.
How can we transcend something (negativity) if we won't allow it to enter into our lives so we can deal with it?
All this goes back to my point, which is that being happy has nothing to do with writing in an online journal.
