Weird  day yesterday, went out at noon and my car clock is off , and I thought I was out for 3  hours and it was 5!! Disconcerting, it was raining and I had no idea...

Is it not the Ides of March?

Part of the problem I had yesterday started with a phone call from my sweetest (though far away ) Aunt. This woman has had a hard road, raised 8 (EIGHT)

She lives in Dobson, a one traffic light town. But her surgery will be at Mount Airy (which has TWO Northern Hospitals, wouldn't you know it?)I can't figure out what airport is closest!! April 8th, I believe she said.I'd just like to TRY and see if I can be there before and after she wakes up.Maybe stay a couple days to make sure she's ok. Any pointers on travel options?

I am sorry I vented, but glad to hear a voice in the darkness. I meant no offense about N.C. as I am sure you understand, just frustrated at the difficulty in getting to out of the way places.Thank you so much for responding. I know we all have different things to worry about, but because they're different doesn't make them less easy to handle.

oh thats okay! I didnt take offense. I was actually going to offer to help if I could! Dont be sorry you vented at all. It is natural and expected. NC is full of little one light towns. Mt Airy is about and hour and a half from here.
