So I bought a Mandolin a couple of weeks ago and I've been playing with it off and on here recently. On August 17th, 2005, I will be stepping aboard an airplane to Korea, South Korea for those of you who are really wondering. I am going to go teach english for a year. 1 month and 10 days till I head down to Costa Rica for 16 days. I will be exploring the jungles and having siestas on the beach in a hammock. Some of the places I'll be going include Bocas Del Toro, Mont Verde, Nicoya Peninsula, and a few other places but anyways here's a map.

I sit here in the alpine wonderland that is Whistler.. Being on the top is amazing, 360 degree views of craggy peaks I'm determined to climb this summer or the next. Oh btw did I mention I'm working and getting paid to be out here skiing. Though my ski day did get cut slow because of a nasty headache, but I managed to accomplish quite a bit. ( Read more... )

So I'm going through some stuff that's in boxes that I haven't looked at since I moved out west. I find this map that was given to me by the people I worked with back in School, and they wrote all sorts of good things on it. I took my first lead fall yesterday, and I've been leading since April of 2000. I always worried about what it would be like to take that first fall on the sharp end, so I've always been cautious and have not pushed my limits while on lead.
