This is the problem with LJ: we all think we are so close, and we know nothing about each other. I'm going to rectify it. I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me- something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you.

I think I have one of the world's most boring jobs - I work for part of the UK Government doing budgets & capacity planning.

My biggest dream right now is to get another bathroom in my house! My house is over 120 years old and when I moved in it had an outside loo. It certainly made a 'man' of you in the winter months. I managed to make a proper bathroom inside, but with two teenagers in the house, I sure do need another one now.

Practice!.. just kidding. I do get down, but I get bored with myself being that way, so I try and find something funny about the situation to cheer myself up. Singing silly songs accompanying myself by banging on a saucepan lid with a stick is also a good one. It has the added bonus of driving my kids nuts. A nice bit of revenge there. *grins

You list two interests that make me curious: "green wing" and "uru." Explain?

'Green Wing' is a British TV series about a fictional hospital. It is a surreal comedy that has quite a big cult following. Two series were made and a special. There are LJ sites dedicated to it.

'Uru' is an online game, from the same company that made the 'Myst' pc game. I believe MMORG is the technical term for it. Eassntially, you are an explorer drawn to a cavern in New Mexico where an ancient race called the D'ni once lived. The player has an avatar body that interacts with objects and others. The object of the game is to solve puzzles to find out more of the story of these people. What makes this pretty unique is that there is no fighting or levelling, such as in Warcraft or Guildwars. This is about discovery and communication. There is a thriving community of players.
