i know i said i was quitting this, but i just wanted to share this:
i quit being a bike messenger, and now i work at Make the Road By Walking

due to the fact that a convenience of the internet does not make up for the destructivness it has towards geniune personal connections, i am retiring this journal. however i will still remain on myspace due to the fact a large base of my friends only use that to communicate (which i am also against but its their personal choice).

saturday i saw John Zerzan speak. it was suprisingly good. while primitivism is a load of bullshit i do agree with alot of the anti-civ critique. i just don't think wanting lots of people be killed and supressing human creativity is positive or has any place in anarchist goals. but Zerzan presented his ideas as a critique alone and not as an ideal ( Read more... )

so i went back to work this week and the unbreakable mentality has come back. i am faster than i was before getting the shit kicked out of me and somehow i'm able to predict traffic faster. everyone at work is glad to have me back and nobody cared that i didn't call into work for a week and that i came in late a few times this week. fuck yeah.

so i haven't been to work in a week. i've slept more than i have in a long time and i will be back on a bike tomorrow despite that my "unbreakablness" of being a messenger has been damaged with the assualt. but my balance is still good and i can still proably ride fast as hell so we'll see how long it is before i get myself together and start ( Read more... )
