So new job started today! It was awesome and went along pretty smoothly. The office is really laid back, my coworkers seem to posses a reasonable degree of Seattle geek and overall I think I'll fit in well. I will rec you... The Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop! It's an old favorite of mine and no one has read it. I dunno if it's everyone's tastes but DAMN the universe it's in -- I WANT ONE. SO GOOD.

Yes it is really very very good; the reason I'm hesitant to rec it wholeheartedly is because it's sort of an erotic novel BUT THE FANTASY ASPECT OVERSHADOWS IT in my opinion. xDD

I'll rec Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld. Steampunk WWI AU, with the main characters being the moe Austro-Hungarian prince on the run Aleksander Ferdinand and Deryn Sharp, a girl who pretends to be a boy so she can be an airman.

The Leviathan is also a giant whale airship.
