It looks like a nice place! I'm sure you'll do great with your students. (I can't help but think of Inaba from P4, because I am a terrible person.) I don't know what to tell you about time management, unfortunately, not having done the JET thing myself.
There are way too many things about this city that make me think P4, so you are not alone at least. (According to my supervisor the local delicacy is the beef croquettes, no lie)
I am hoping that it doesn't turn into something too atrocious, since I'm actually not contracted to work more than 30-some hours each week, but I do want to get involved with some groups around town like taking taiko and aikido classes so I've got to wait a bit to see how much time that leaves me with to do my own thing.
Glad you're settling in well! It sounds like it's been an adventure so far. I'm sure the teaching gig will work itself out. Kids are amusing creatures, if anything. XD
Also, about the medicine. Ry mentioned you'd email instructions about how to give Fritz them? Because I really don't know how to give them to him or how much or how often. Are there instructions anywhere or...? ._.
Amusing creatures but whether or not they'll learn anything remains to be seen.
ALSO I TOTALLY BLANKED ON THE MEDS, for which I am sorry. But basically they don't need to be given the meds unless they're particularly sniffly. So you give them whenever you can hear Fritz sneezing a lot or if he's got red gunk on his nose that looks like blood. (protip: it isn't, it's rat saliva) There should be instructions on the bottles, but one of them gets given twice daily, one is once daily, and you fill the syringe to the first line, the .1ml line, I believe. Get his attention and then stick it through the bars of the cage, he loves the taste of the stuff and should start licking at the syringe and then you just push it and you're done! Make sure to rinse it out between medicines.

Apartment pics are forthcoming once I've gotten the apartment a bit more put together. Right now it's a bit bare and messy, but I'm working on that!
