Well, another weekend is approaching. It was nice having a three day work week. I enjoyed an extended four day weekend last weekend. Well, “enjoyed” isn’t exactly true, as I endured my house being remodeled.

Okay, okay…so I haven’t made an entry in….okay…awhile. So, I’ll make a quick one now and a real one later.

The weekend before last was fun. Blade and I went to San Antonio. My niece, Ashley, went with us. The plan was to be down there for a couple of hours or so. We left his house at 8:00 in the morning. I got home at about 11:00 that night.

Okay, I haven’t made an entry in some time. So…what’s the latest in my life?

I’m getting wood flooring in the house. I’ll also have the entire interior painted. It’s going to look really nice when it’s done.

After finding out that Denise had never been to the Riverwalk in  San Antonio, I decided to take her down there for a day of seeing the sights. We first visited the Riverwalk, as we knew it would only get hotter as the day progressed. We already have had (at least in the Austin area) 43 days of temperatures of 100 degrees or higher. Well, before the news of my neighbor Alma’s passing, my weekend this past weekend was really nice.

I spent the day Saturday on a motorcycle ride with my VROC friends. Our fellow rider and dear friend, Chuck Burt, was killed last July. We had a commemorative brick laid in Luckenbach last September. To remember him on the anniversary of his passing, ( Read more... )

My neighbor Alma passed away this weekend. She was 95.

Last month, I arranged a birthday party to celebrate her 95th birthday. It was a great party, and all of her friends and some dignitaries showed. I’m very glad I decided to do it.
